Our Sacred Journey
From a humble beginning with a few rescued cows to becoming one of the most respected Gaushalas in Sawai Madhopur, our journey is a story of compassion, dedication, and selfless service.
πΌ Foundation of the Gaushala
Under the guidance of Shree Radha Krishna Gau Seva Samiti, Bheru Darwaja, Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan), the Gaushala was established on an area of 1,000 square meters with just 25 abandoned cows. With public support, shelter, water, and food were arranged for these helpless animals.
π Registration & Growth
The Gaushala was registered with the Rajasthan Cooperative Society. This marked the beginning of structured development, allowing the Gaushala to expand its facilities and increase the number of cows under its care.
π Government Recognition
Registration with the Rajasthan Department of Animal Husbandry brought official recognition. From this year onward, the Gaushala actively worked in the field of cow protection and welfare on a larger scale.
π Medical Care for Injured Cows
To serve sick and accident-injured stray cows, the Gaushala introduced an ambulance service and established a dedicated medical ward. This was a major milestone in providing timely treatment and saving lives.
πΏ Expansion of Service
After registration with the Rajasthan Animal Husbandry Department, the Gaushala expanded its care to over 1,100 cows. A professional team including veterinary doctors, assistants, and health inspectors was formed.
π Renovation & Modernization
With the generous support of donors, the Gaushala underwent major renovation. Modern shelters, improved infrastructure, and better facilities were developed to ensure comfort for cows in all seasons.
π New Initiatives for Nature
A bird house for 3,000 birds and a new fodder storage facility were introduced, expanding the Gaushalaβs mission of compassion beyond cows to all living beings.
π Our Continuing Mission
Today, Shree Radha Krishna Gaushala is operated by 21 management committee members and 25 dedicated staff. Our purpose remains unchanged β to rescue abandoned and injured cows, provide medical care, shelter, nutritious food, and ensure dignity and protection for every life we serve.
